Court rewards cop for harassing woman for wearing bindi on forehead.
In 2022, the Bangladesh was rocked by protest and a cop Nazmul Tareq was penalized for harassing Lata Samaddar, a female teacher of Tejgaon College in Dhaka in broad daylight and sought to curtail the age old right of the woman of putting bindi on her forehead.
But under Yunus’s regime, the cop was allowed to file farcical case to criminalize the victim woman and 17 other cultural personalities who protested against the disgraceful act by the cop, in total support of Islamists who seek to enforce Sariha based life style for woman.
