Beside Akram Ali’s Body Stand the State’s Failure and Yunus’s Mask.
Akram Ali is no longer alive. His blood has dried on the streets of Talaimari in Rajshahi, but the question still burns—
Who is responsible for this blood?
The answer is clear: This blood is on the hands of Dr. Yunus and the illegitimate government he leads.
You, Dr. Yunus, were not elected. You climbed to power over a mountain of corpses, without caring about the people’s verdict. And now, beneath your throne pools the blood of Akram Ali, Rokia’s tears, and the cry of an entire nation.
You came under the guise of forming an “interim government.” But your rise is no neutral model of governance—
It is a project of Islamist fundamentalist factions, secret foreign pacts, and the country’s emerging neo-elite class.
Those standing behind you today are not democrats. They are forces who fuel misogyny, suppress free expression, and want to run the state through extremism. And you— You are their masked, so-called civil face.
What did Akram Ali want? Nothing more than to protect his daughter.
And for that, he received bricks to the head, a bloody death, and a state that silenced his voice.
And you? Not once have you issued a statement. No one in your government has said, “This murder is unacceptable.”
Because to you, this death does not matter. You see state killings as just another part of the system.
Did your administration not know that a teenage girl was being harassed for days?
Were your law enforcement agencies asleep while her father was being threatened? Or were they watching silently—because the killers had the backing of the very forces that put you in power?
Those who now shelter thugs like Nantu know— This state will say nothing. Because this state no longer belongs to the people. It now belongs to those who do not believe in democracy, Who do not believe in women’s freedom, Who want to rule through knives, bricks, and jihad.
And you, Mr. Yunus—
You are now the king of that state.
If fathers like Akram Ali must die without justice,
Then what kind of government are you running?
Is this a government of accountability?
Or a dystopia where the state turns a blind eye, and murder is met with silence?
The people know—
- Your regime survives not through any mandate,
- But through foreign backing and a deadly alliance with extremists.
- Those who support you now are conspirators—
- They do not want Bangladesh to stand tall.
- They want it dragged back into darkness.
- And you have become the broker of that darkness.
Akram Ali’s death is not an isolated incident. It is the story of our state’s collapse. A father protested—and for that, he had to die. At that moment, the state failed, the government turned away, And you sat in silence. That silence is your greatest crime. Because you know—this murder was born from the system built around you.
You could have said: “This state will not shelter murderers.” You could have brought justice for Akram Ali and earned honor in history.
But your silence declares—there will be no justice. Because you know well— If justice comes, your false government will fall.
